Meet Our Team

Founder of Yin & Yang Massage

Richard Oliver, LMT

Richard Oliver’s passion for massage began at the early age of four, when he first discovered the satisfaction of helping others feel better through touch. Encouraged by family members who praised his natural ability to relieve tension with a simple shoulder rub, Richard was inspired to one day turn this gift into a career.

Before pursuing his true calling, Richard spent nearly three decades building a successful career in the fast-food industry. He quickly rose through the ranks, earning his first promotion within two months and eventually managing multiple teams and operations. His time in leadership taught him how to connect with people from all walks of life, identify individual needs, and create supportive, productive environments—skills that now serve him well in his massage practice.

Despite his achievements in fast food, Richard felt a growing internal conflict. His personal commitment to health and wellness didn’t align with the industry he was in. Motivated by a desire to live in alignment with his values, he made the courageous decision to follow his lifelong dream and become a licensed massage therapist.

Today, as the founder of Yin & Yang Massage, Richard brings the same dedication and drive to his practice that fueled his earlier career. He lives an active lifestyle, regularly training at the gym and challenging himself in events like the Lake Tye Triathlon and Snohomish Spartan Race. Richard believes in empowering his clients to live fuller, healthier, and more mobile lives through therapeutic massage tailored to their unique needs.
